In spring 2020 we were locked-down as a result of the Covid-19 pandemic. Stay at home rules gave me an opportunity to focus more fully on my relationship with the intertidal mudflats and marshland right on my doorstep. In doing so I began to question what it really means to inhabit ‘wild’ or ‘remote’ landscapes and how that might correspond with events taking place in the wider world.
