After going into lockdown in Spring 2020 I began to experiment with moving images. Having already begun to experiment with duration and movement in my drawing, this felt like a natural step. The following clips are part of a work in progress. I would like to create a completed film work over the next 12 months as part of a wider body of work.

Each day I walk to the sea, and if practical to do so I walk with the ebbing tide as it embarks on its journey to the fringes of Morecambe Bay. Out of the terrible uncertainty that has arisen due to Covid-19 has sprung an unexpected opportunity to participate more fully in this extraordinary, transformative event that takes place roughly every 12 hours.
